The following article seeks to examine the current law in the United States, and in particular the courts in the United States, in contrast to the right to privacy and freedom of the press, and which right prevails over the other. In this article, the descriptive-analytical method and relying on library sources and court rulings, first a history of the development of the concept of privacy in American law was stated and then the jurisprudence and disputed issues were analyzed in eighteen issues. The research approach is that in this country, privacy is in a weak position and it is the media that are protected by the courts. The right to freedom of the press dominates the courts of the United States, and there are limited cases in which the court protects individuals from media invasions of privacy. Given the historical aspect and the current US legal system in this area, the study of this study It can be used in the legal system of our country, both of which are recognized in the constitution.
